Do you want to take a career break to travel but don’t know how to do it? Meet Plan Go! is a dynamic resource that will help you.
Meet Plan Go! 2012
Meet ,Plan, Go! is a website and community of like-minded people sharing their ideas, dreams and practical tips about career breaks and long-term travel. Started in 2008 by three people who met on the road while taking their own career breaks, MPG has grown into a national organization offering both virtual and face-to-face interaction.
Informal meet-ups are scheduled periodically throughout the year in cities all over the US and Canada, a great way to ease your way into the concept of planning a long-term break. MPG also offers a slew of resources on their website to help you with all aspects of your trip, everything from packing to job-related issues back home.
Once a year, MPG holds a national event: a one-night career break seminar held simultaneously in 10 cities throughout North America. Presentations and breakout sessions by fellow travelers offer a great opportunity to meet and chat with others who have “been there, done that.”
This year’s Nationwide Event is October 16, 2012. We’ll be speaking at the meeting in New York City. Join us there, or attend at one of the other locations—there’ll be interesting speakers at all of them. It’s a great way to get you motivated toward planning your own grand adventure!
